> To this end, use an appropriate screwdriver to hold the shaft (5).
> If the bearing detaches first, screw the impeller back onto the shaft and screw the
shaft back a few threads into the bearing.
> Give the impeller a light blow to push the bearing up and out; unscrew it and pull it
out of the inner tube.
> Pull the shaft out of the inner tube together with the impeller.
> Unscrew the impeller.
> Use an appropriate screwdriver to pull the inner tube (6) out of the outer tube (7) by
gently turning it to the right.
> Use an appropriate tool to pull the bearing housing (8) out of the outer tube.
> Press the bearing (9) out of the inner tube and pull out completely with slight
rotating movements.
> On
F 427 S3A : Remove the PTFE seal (10).
> On F 427 S3 and F 427 S4: Do not remove the shaft seal.
Note
The maximum temperature for cleaning of drum pump F 427 is
130°C.
It is possible to sterilise the pump in the autoclave through:

radiation

dry heating

gas treatment and

chemical treatment
