The Remote User Interface

Local Host Software Revision 
Displays the revision of the remote user interface software installed 
on the PC. If   appears next to the Local Host Software Revision, 
you need to update the remote user interface software. 

•

 

List of analyzers 
Any OptiView analyzer that is in the same local network as your PC 
appears in this list. If an analyzer is not in the same local network, 
its name appears in the list if you added the PC’s IP address to the 
analyzer’s 

Remote Consoles

 list. It also appears if you recently 

connected to the analyzer. 

The following information is provided for each analyzer:

SNMP Name

: the user-specified name of the analyzer. 

ƒ

 

Connection

: the type of connection (

MANAGEMENT

 port for WAN 

analyzers). To the left of connection type, you may see one of 
the following symbols: 

 

Indicates that encryption is disabled on the analyzer (see 

“Protecting the Privacy of Your Data”).

 

 Indicates that encryption is enabled on the analyzer (see 

“Protecting the Privacy of Your Data”).

IP Address

: the analyzer’s IP address.
