When you enter the inputs:
• You can tap a value and use the Edit knob for the values.
• Enter voltage or current and then a watts entry with
W
to open the DC Power function or to edit the
AC Power function if an AC function is the active function. The remaining volts or current value is
calculated and displayed.
Set DC Power Output
To set the dc power output (
Function > Dual Output > DC Power
and the
example shown in Table
for output entry basics.
The Calibrator produces a dc power output by sourcing a dc voltage on the OUTPUT HI and OUTPUT
LO terminals and an ac current on the VI AUX or 30A and SENSE LO terminal outputs.

Set AC Power Output
To set the ac power output (
Function > Dual Output > AC Power
and the
example shown in Table
for output entry basics.
The Calibrator simulates an ac power output by sourcing an ac voltage on the OUTPUT HI and
OUTPUT LO terminals and an ac current on the VI AUX and SENSE LO terminals, or the 30A and
SENSE LO terminals, depending on amperage.
For Sine-Sine ACP, the Display also shows the real power output for sine waves. Power out is
computed as Power = Cosine
Φ
(Volts x Current) where
Φ
is the phase difference between the volts
and current waveforms. Cosine
Φ
is also known as the Power Factor (DPF).
Adjust Phase- Aux to Output - selects the phase difference between the VI AUX and OUTPUT outputs.
Adjust Phase - Output to Reference - sets the phase difference between the OUTPUT and the 10 MHz
reference or between the OUPUT and an external primary Calibrator (using 10 MHz (IN/OUT) and the
OUTPUT output. See
Synchronize the Calibrator Using 10 MHz IN/OUT
