GENERAL SAFETY RULES
WARNING!
READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
WORK AREA
Keep your work area clean and well lit.
Cluttered benches
and dark areas invite accidents.
Working temperature.
If used over 40°C (104°F) an
automatic cut-off will turn the light off until the temperature
of the light head comes down. The cut-off temperature can be
affected by whether the work area is well ventilated or not.
FLEXLITE is designed to be used in industrial environments
under rain, snow and dust. However, FLEXLITE products
cannot be immersed in water. If the working area is moist
and dusty, some particles will stick to the heat sink and
reduce its performance. See maintenance section on how to
remove any dirt.
Don’t operate FLEXLITE under direct sunlight or near other
heat sources.
The power supply should be protected with an optional
sealed case. It can’t be used outside or under rain, moisture,
snow, etc.
DANGER!
Never connect/disconnect or use an external
power supply or charger in hazardous areas.
Never connect or disconnect the connector on
the light head or any extension cord when the
power is ON.
SERVICE
Work light service must be performed only by qualified
repair personnel.
Service or maintenance performed by
unqualified personnel may result in a risk of injury.
When servicing a work light, use only identical
replacement
parts.
Follow
instructions
in
the
Maintenance section of this manual.
Use of unauthorized
parts or failure to follow Maintenance Instructions may
create a risk of shock or injury
.
STORAGE TEMPERATURE
Store work light at room temperature between -35°C and
35°C (-31°F and 95°F) for best results.
When transporting or temporarily storing in a vehicle,
temperature range should be between -35°C (-31°F) and
66°C (151°F).
Storing work light at temperatures greater than 76°C
(169°F) for extended periods of time (more than 2 hours)
may cause damage to work light and possible fire.
SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES
Know your work light. Read the User’s Manual carefully.
Learn its applications and limitations, as well as the
specific potential hazards related to this work light.
Following this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock, fire,
or serious injury.
Lens and housing become hot during use:
During or immediately after use, don’t lay work light flat
on lens surface or place lens area in contact with a plastic
or fabric covered surface.
Handle work light with care around any flammable
surface.
Do not use or permit use of work light in bed or sleeping
bags. This work light lens can melt fabric and could result
in burn injury.
Do not disassemble your work light.
Do not permit children to use work light unsupervised.
It
is not a toy. The temperature of the light head will become
hot after being on for only a short period of time. This hot
temperature can cause burn injury if touched and can create
sufficient heat to melt some fabrics.
Stay alert.
Watch what you are doing and use common
sense. Do not rush.
If wrapped or in contact with fabrics, the work light lens
can produce sufficient heat to melt some fabrics.
To avoid
serious personal injury, never allow the work light lens to
come in contact with anything.
Check damaged parts.
Before further use of this work light,
a part that is damaged should be carefully checked to
determine that it will operate properly and perform its
intended function. Do not use work light if it does not
function properly.
Do not abuse cord.
Never use the cord to carry the
FLEXLITE. Do not pull cord rather than the plug when
disconnecting from outlet. Damage to the cord could occur
and create an electric shock hazard. Replace damaged cord
immediately.
Make sure cord is located so that it will not be stepped on,
tripped over, come in contact with sharp edges or moving
parts or otherwise subjected to damage or stress.
This will
reduce the risk of accidental falls, which could cause injury,
and damage to the cord, which could result in electric shock.
Keep cord from heat to prevent damage to housing or
internal parts.
DANGER!
Do not use the external power supply
without protection cabinet IP66.
