USING SUPPLIED AC POWER ADAPTOR
(FIG. 4)
Insert the AC power adaptor plug into the DC
socket on the back side of the radio.
Plug the adaptor into a standard power outlet.
Whenever the power adaptor is used, the
battery pack is automatically disconnected. The
AC adaptor should be disconnected from the
power outlet when not in use.
NOTE:
The battery pack cannot be charged
using the power adaptor. The battery packs can
only be charged using chargers specified earlier
in this manual.
POSITIONABLE FLEXIBLE ANTENNA
To decrease interference or static noise, rotate
the antenna or move the unit to a higher
elevation. The antenna folds down and out of
the way when not in use.
SWITCHING THE UNIT ON AND OFF (FIG. 5)
Switching on:
Press the On/Off knob
and hold for 2
seconds. The unit switches on. The display will
show "FLEX" and after 1 second will shift to
operation mode.
Switching off:
Press the On/Off knob and hold for 2 seconds.
The unit switches off.
STANDBY MODE (FIG. 6)
When the unit is on, briefly press On/Off knob
, the unit switches to standby mode.
When the unit is in standby mode, all audio
output will stop. Only the display will continue
showing the time and date, but the display
brightness will dim after 1 minute. Briefly press
the On/Off knob to return to full operating mode.
Press the LED button to restore the full display
brightness while the unit is in standby mode.
Press the LED button again to dim the display
brightness or it will dim automatically in 1 minute.
NOTICE:
When in standby mode, the unit will turn off
automatically after 30 minutes of inactivity.
