• For easier installation, close the gate door.
• Make sure the threshold is flat on the floor.
• Unlock the locking lever by pulling the locking lever
release in the direction of the arrow
while lifting
the locking lever
.
• Make sure the top of the triangle on the locking lever
aligns with the top of the triangle on the threshold.

• Place the Step Lock Gate in the opening with
the top pad on the stationary panel against one opening
surface.
Please Note:
The bottom pad on the stationary panel is
moveable, and will accommodate uneven door frames.
When the Step Lock Gate is fully installed, the bottom pad
will contact the surface.

IMPORTANT NOTES!
• Position the Step Lock Gate so that the locking lever
is on the side opposite your child.
• Install the Step Lock Gate between flat surfaces only. It
is
NOT
intended for use against curved or irregular
surfaces such as round or sculptured banister or posts.
