Enter this code to gain access to the top row of
instructions. A small yellow led to the left of the word
RESET will light indicating that this row of functions
can now be activated by pressing the appropriate
button above it. The functions are as follows:-

RESET
- is used to return the fire alarm system to
the normal clear condition, resetting any fire
alarm detectors, silencing all sounders and
resetting other devices connected to the panel.
2
.
SILENCE BUZZER
– Causes the internal buzzer to
be switched off during a fire or fault condition.
Any subsequent fault or fire activation on another
zone will cause the buzzer to be re sounded.
3.
SILENCE ALARMS -
Used to turn off the external
alarm sounders after a fire activation the Alarm
Silenced led is also illuminated. The panel will
however continue to indicate the fire condition
and the internal buzzer will continue to bleep.
Any subsequent fire activation on another zone
will re-sound the fire alarm sounders.
PANEL COMMISSIONING
The total system should be tested in accordance with
the National requirements. Summary as follows:-
1.
The complete installation should be checked to
ensure that all the cables have been correctly
installed in accordance with the National
regulations.
2.
All the cables must be insulation tested with high
voltage test sets prior to the sounders and bases
/ detectors being connected.
3.
The earth to the panel must be tested.
4.
All detectors and sounders must be correctly
wired, with no spurs, and correctly fitted to the
bases.
5.
End of line components / resistors (of the correct
value) must be fitted to the end of each circuit.
6.
Connect the battery and switch on the mains
supply.
7.
Test the panel as described in the USER GUIDE
8.
Test every detector, call-point and sounder.
9.
HAND-OVER TO THE USER - as follows:-
a) Teach the user how to operate the panel and
test the system, using the USER GUIDE
b) Issue drawings of the wiring.
c) Issue the appropriate certificates.
FLUSH MOUNTING BEZEL
An optional flush mounting bezel is available, which
allows the panel to be semi-flush to the wall up to the
front plastic cover.
1.
Remove the front cover. Remove the knockouts
to be used
2.
Note – the bezel has edges on the two sides and
the bottom, the top has no edges to allow full
access to the cable entries.
3.
Slide the bezel over the metal box and fix in place
(with the screws provided) through the holes
near the transformer and the pcb.
4.
Slots in the bezel allow the depth to be adjusted
by 22mm
5.
Hole size = 298mm x 260mm, max hole depth =
56mm. The bezel width = 20mm.
6.
Fix the box into the hole using the normal
mounting holes, the adjust the bezel back to the
wall, tighten the screws taking care not to
damage any components.
7.
Continue the installation as normal.
USER GUIDE FOR 1, 2 & 4 ZONE FIRE PANELS
The panel supplied is a modern highly sophisticated fire control panel utilising the latest technology to
combine performance and reliability with ease of operation.
PANEL BASICS
The panel is controlled by the five push buttons mounted on the front.
To gain access to the panels functions either of two 4 digit USER CODE’s must be entered via the push buttons.
- This is used to prevent unauthorised access.

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR
ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY
When used as intended this product complies with
EMC Directive (89/336/EEC) and the UK EMC
regulations 1992 (SI 2372/1992) by meeting the
limits set by the standards, EN 55022: 1998 and EN
50130-4 1996. The following installation guidelines
must be followed.
1. External cables must be connected using the
knockouts provided.
2.
When routing cables inside the product they
must be:-
a)Kept as short as possible.
b)Routed close to the housing
c)Kept as far as possible from the electronics.
Any modifications other than those stated in this
manual, or any other use of this product may cause
interference and it is the responsibility of the user to
comply with the EMC and Low Voltage Directive.
•
CF
- an open collector current limited output to a
remote indicator which duplicates the common
fire indicator. Connect the +ve wire to CF terminal
and -ve to COM.
Connect the mains supply cable to the fused terminal
block, using the knockout in the bottom or back
nearest to it, and keeping it away from the other
wiring. Fit the 12v battery into the bottom right hand
corner of the box and connect the red and black wires.
It is important to ensure correct polarity of battery
wires.
Switch on the mains supply. Commission the
system as described below.
