When converting Burners to LP gas the main burner orifice must be kept a minimum of 6-inches away from the burner
connection (nipple) to prevent any back pressure at the LP orifice. See Fig. 14 below for details.
Note
: It is acceptable to
install a 90° elbow, if necessary, to run the gas line the opposite direction (see Fig 15 or 16). A 90° elbow is not provided
with the kit
.
All NPT pipe threads must be sealed with approved gas Teflon tape or pipe compound.
Check for any gas leaks before presuming normal operation after conversion is complete.
CAUTION:
Ensure there is ventilation under the burner to provide fresh air for air shutter/orifice.
