Why does Dorgard X
2
release if the fire alarm is not sounding?
• Check that Dorgard X
2
is fitted to the side of the door that closes into the door frame
• Dorgard X
2
will release when the door is pushed in the direction of opening. To prevent
this happening fit the Standard Floorplate supplied
• Dorgard X
2
listens out for Call-in messages from System X. If it misses 5 Call-ins in a row
it will fail-to-safe, i.e. release
• Dorgard X
2
will release every 7 days as part of its self-testing routine.
• Check Night-time Release settings on System X.
• Check operation of the System X transmitter
• If installed as a Category B system, adjust the sensitivity of the System X transmitter (see
System X User Guide)
• Check Batteries on Dorgard X
2
, is unit beeping? (see Error Messages, Beeps and Flashes
on Page 23)
• Check Power and Batteries in the Linked System X (see System X User Guide)
• Check fire alarm panel is not in fault
• Have kicker plates been fitted to the fire door? If so this may be deflecting the radio
signal. Try fitting Dorgard Spacers
• Check Dorgard X
2
has not missed its Call-ins, is the unit beeping? (see Error Messages,
Beeps and Flashes on Page 23)
• Have some Dorgard X
2
units released and not others? If so conduct a Full Range Test (see
System X User Guide)
