Loose spark plug
Tighten the spark plug to 20–25 Nm.
Loose or disconnected spark plug cable
Connect spark plug cable
Incorrect gap between spark plug electrodes Adjust the gap between the electrodes from
0.7 to 0.8 mm.
Faulty spark plug
Replace the spark plug – BS-OHV (RC12YC)
Carburettor flooded with fuel
Remove the air filter and pull on the pull cord
continuously until the carburettor clears and
reinsert the air filter
Faulty ignition module
Contact the repair shop
Fuel tank clogged with dirt/water. Old fuel
in tank
Drain and clean fuel tank, then fill with clean,
fresh fuel
Vent hole in fuel tank cap is blocked
Clean or replace the tank cap
The engine runs
irregularly
Faulty spark plug
Replace the spark plug – BS-OHV (RC12YC)
Incorrect gap between spark plug electrodes Adjust the gap between the electrodes from
0.7 to 0.8 mm.
