06. LED indication

as an example

USB connection exists, 5V USB voltage is present, no driver has

been found or loaded

LED flashes once briefly when being plugged in and stays off

afterwards

Driver has been found and loaded, the module is ready

LED flashes hectically and periodically

The tool “AVRootloader.exe“ tries to establish a connection to the

CarDecoder. This happens after clicking the Button “connect” and

stays that way until a connection has been established.

4 LED flashes slowly and periodically

A connection between CarDecoder and AVRootloader has been

established. The update can take place.

07. Update procedure

The process differs depending on the CarDecoder type or function

module used and can be looked up in the decoder manual.

As an example the following table shows the update of an OpenCar

decoder V5.
