Problem
Explanation
The fan of the inside unit stops for about 10
minutes during heating.
• This phenomenon is due to defrosting of the
coil of the external unit. The operation takes
about 10 minutes maximum (The coil freezes
when the outside temperature is low and the
humidity is high).
The unit is making crackling noises.
• This concerns noises of friction caused by
the expansion and contraction of the front
panel resulting from temperature changes.
You can hear the water running.
• The sound of the refrigerant expanding in the
conditioner.
• The sound of accumulated water dripping on
the heat exchanger.
• The sound of frost melting on the heat
exchanger.
The internal unit makes a hissing and rattling
noise.
• The fan or the compressor rattles when acti-
vated or deactivated.
• The refrigerant hisses inside the conditioner.
The air diffused by the conditioner has a
strange odour.
• The cycles of the air conditioner normally
absorb odours from the wall, the carpet, furni-
ture and fabrics.
• During cooling, the connection pipe or the
link to the pipe is cooled, thus forming a con-
densate.
• Water and water vapour will be released
during heating or defrosting.
• Water will drip from the heat exchanger
during heating.
Water is leaking from the external unit.
