Safety

2.1

Intended use

The clamping unit KEC is intended to serve both as an individual product and integrated into a DNC

cylinder (for cylinders with clamping unit DNCKE) for holding, clamping and inhibiting the movement of

round material.

2.2

Foreseeable misuse

The clamping unit is not intended as a brake. Use as a braking device (dynamic applications) does not

conform with the intended use.

The clamping unit is not suitable for positioning tasks or for transmitting torques and lateral forces. A

self-aligning rod coupler (

 11 Accessories) can prevent the transmission of lateral forces and bending

moments.
