Configuration

Caution

The  CPV  Direct  contains  electronically  sensitive  compo
nents.  The  CPV  Direct  will  be  damaged  if  you  touch  the
contact  surfaces  of  the  plug  connectors  or  if  you  do  not
observe  the  regulations  for  handling  electrostatically
sensitive  components.

Proceed  as  follows  when  configuring:

1. Switch  off  the  power  supply.

2. Remove  the  switch  module.

3. Set  the  following  with  the  DIL  switches:  compatibility,

extension  to  the  CP  system,  station  number,  baud  rate.

4. Refit  the  switch  module.

5. If  the  CP  system  is  the  first  or  last  slave  in  a  field  bus

segment,  a  terminating  resistor  must  be  fitted  be
tween  the  field  bus  cables  (120

Make  sure  that  switch−on  test  pulses  are  sup
pressed/switched  off  when  you  operate  the  CPV 
Direct  via  a  safety  I/O  module."

Check  the  measures  required  for  putting  your  system
into  a  safe  status  in  the  event  of  an  EMERGENCY
STOP.
