WARNING
Replacement parts must be the same and
installed in the same position as the original
parts or fire could result.
OIL & FILTER CHANGE
1. Warm engine by running for a few minutes.
(Refer to the engine operator’s manual for oil &
filter replacement instructions.)
2. Park machine and place the rear tires in a 2 x 4
block of wood or park machine on a slight downhill
grade. (See Figure 6)
3. Place a small pan under the oil drain hose (B,
Figure 7) to catch the oil.
4. Using a 10mm combination wrench or a large
slotted screwdriver, turn the oil drain valve (A)
counterclockwise to open the valve and drain the
engine oil.
5. After draining, turn the oil drain valve (A)
clockwise to close the valve and wipe up any
spilled oil.
6. Place a small pan or cup under the engine oil
filter.
7. Remove the engine oil filter and replace with a
new one.
8. Remove the pan or cup and wipe up any spilled
oil.
CHECK / CHANGE AIR FILTER
Refer to engine owners manual.
REPLACE SPARK PLUG
Refer to engine owners manual.
INSPECT MUFFLER AND SPARK
ARRESTER
Inspect the muffler for cracks, corrosion, or other
damage. Remove the spark arrester, if equipped,
and inspect for damage or carbon blockage. If
replacement parts are required, make sure to use
only original equipment replacement parts
