6.5.2
Arm safety:
The machine is provided with an automatic safety system, which
comes into operation when the flail head touches an obstacle and the tractor keeps
moving. The safety system withdraws the arm to avoid the blow; the operator will then
have time to steer and drive past the obstacle. The auto-return system absorbs oil under
pressure during the blow and releases it by shifting the arm back to the working position
(FIG. 33).
Do not change the calibration of the arms rotation valve, since this operation could
cause damage to the arm and to the support structure.
ATTENTION
: when folding up the arms never exceed and angle of 30°, to avoid
stressing the arms rotation hydraulic ram and the structure of the frame (FIG. 34).

Stopping

Before stopping the tractor

Disengage the rotor drive by operating the selector

(FIG. 28) and wait till the
rotor has completely stopped.

Close the arm and lower the flail head to the ground

Disconnect the power takeoff
-
Stop the tractor, take the starting key out and apply the hand brake.

If the ground is sloping, block the tractor wheels.
