4. Carefully remove any grass and foreign bodies from the cutting apparatus and
grass trimmer.
5. Clean the grass trimmer as described in the chapter “Cleaning and maintenance”.
6. Check the grass trimmer for any damage and wear.
7. Charge the battery as necessary (see chapter “Charging the battery”).
Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING!
Risk of injury!
Accidentally starting the grass trimmer may result in severe injury
inflicted by the cutting unit.
− Always remove the battery before cleaning and maintenance.
− Make sure that the grass trimmer has been switched off and
the cutting unit has come to a stop.

The grass trimmer is equipped with two nylon blades for cutting.
Improper handling can lead to injury.
− Never replace non-metallic cutting tools with metallic cutting
tools.

Improper handling can damage the grass trimmer.
− Do not use any aggressive cleaners, brushes with metal or
nylon bristles, or sharp or metallic cleaning utensils such as
knives, hard scrapers and the like. They could damage the
surfaces.
− Keep the grass trimmer, the protective fixtures and the motor
housing free of dust and dirt.
