4 - OPERATIONAL FEATURES
4.1 Unfolding and folding the Chair
The Chair folds for shipping and stowage.
To unfold the chair;
Unfold by placing the Chair on the ground. With your foot on the Chair’s foot-bar, lift the back up and rearward. Completely unfold by
firmly pushing up the back until an audible click is heard.
2. Once the chair is locked, move both of the Safety Rings down
over the hinge bracket.
1. Unbuckle the chest strap securing the chair and fold the chair
out into the seated position
To Fold;
1. To fold the Chair, lift the Safety Rings up over each hinge bracket.
2. Pull the release catch in the centre and fold the Chair forwards.
3. The Restraints may be used to secure the Chair in the folded position.
4.2 Restraints
The Chair is equipped with two restraints for patient comfort. When using the Chair, the patient must be secured by the restraints. Assess
patient condition to determine optimum strapping procedure.
4.3 Folding foot rest
(Compact 1-S only)
The Compact 1-S has a folding footrest for convenience when a
seated patient transfers to a standing position.
To fold the footrest, pull to release both plungers and twist to
retain plungers in retracted position. Lift the footrest into the
folded position.
To unfold the footrest, pull forwards and downwards and twist
both plungers to release.
Ensure both sides are locked.
