Preparation for printing
8.1
The Basics
Below is the workflow described from design to successful 3D printing with some pointers to ensure a
successful print. This manual only covers the last step in the process.
1.
Design
Follow the construction rules
of 3D printing.

3. Print
Mechanically prepare printer

Place filled syringes
o
Place petri dish/well plate
Calibrate
o
Bed leveling if necessary
o
For dual head printing
calibrate XYZ offset
between 2 syringes after
changing syringe(s) .
Load print file
2. Slice
Choose correct settings
according to type of print
object and chosen material
type.
Use up to date software
Up to date slicing settings
Follow slicing
recommendations
NOTES:

First Layer is most important layer. Ensure it is printed perfectly

Never leave printer unattended before ensuring first layer is printed correctly
