Operating instructions for battery charger.
Overview.
1 LED display
For indicating the operating modes,
Green lamp (a),
Red lamp (b).
2 Battery-charging interface
Push on battery.
3 Adapter
Push the “Industry” battery with
adapter onto the battery charger.
4 Mains cable with mains plug
Do not pull the mains plug out of the
socket by pulling at the mains cable.
5 Applications
Battery interface “Trade” (c).
Only with adapter – battery interface
“Industry” (d).

Before using this device, read and
comply with:
these operating instructions,
the relevant national industrial safety
regulations.
These operating instructions should be
kept for later use and enclosed with the
device when passing it on or selling it.
Do not use the battery charger outdoors.
Do not attempt to recharge batteries that
cannot be charged.
Intended use.
This device is intended for:
commercial use in industry and trade,
for charging and recharging FEIN batteries
with a battery voltage of 9.6 – 18 V.
Safety instructions.
Risk of injury
When using the battery charger the following
basic safety precautions should be observed
for protection against electric shock, danger
of injury and burns.
Please read and observe these instructions
before using the device.
Before using the device check that the
mains cable and mains plug are not dam-
aged.
The device must not be damp, neither
should it be used in a damp environment.
Do not use the device if it has suffered any
heavy knocks or jolting, or is damaged in
any other way.
Due to the heat generated during charg-
ing, the battery charger should not be
operated on a combustible surface/in an
inflammable environment.
Do not cover over the ventilating slits.
Never disassemble the device yourself.
Danger of an electric shock or fire could
be caused by improper re-assembly.
Pull the plug of the battery charger out of
the socket when it is not in use or when
cleaning it.
Only use extension cable that is approved
and technically in perfect condition.
During operation provide for sufficient
ventilation. Malfunction during charging
can be caused by storing and operating in
places where the temperature
e40 °C; this should be avoided at
all costs.
