5. Installation:
Reader ID RW02.ABCD
may not be
installed directly on conducting materials such as metal sur-
faces, metal grids (reinforced walls), or other metalliferous surfaces. These surfaces influence the
magnetic field and therefore reduce the reader range. Nevertheless, when the reader must be in-
stalled to a metalliferous surface a minimum distance of 3 cm must be respected.
The
distance
to other readers should be minimum
30 cm
.
5.1 ID RW02.ABCD-A / -B:
The reader is designed to be installed directly on common switch boxes. It can be screwed on
such a switch box with the enclosed screws.
For installitions on metal surfaces you can order the surface frame
ID APG-A
by FEIG ELEC-
TRONIC.
After installation and the connection of all clamps but before fixing the adhesive label, the
correct function of the reader must be tested !
5.2 ID RW02.ABCD-AL/ -BL:
The Reader is designed to be installed into a casing. The installation place should be selected
carefully - the transponder should be hold area-parallel to the antenna.
The distance between the reader antenna to conducting materials should be of minimum 3 cm.
Otherwise, the reading range will be decreased.
