Use

Setting up your work area

Ensure your work area is clear of obstruction or hazard. Ensure the work piece is secure. Use
clamps or a vice to hold the work piece, it is safer than using your hand and allows you to
have both hands free to operate the sander. Keep the immediate area clear from other people
in order to avoid a hazard. Do not operate in wet or damp situations. Wear eye and ear
protection at all times, and a dust mask and suitable gloves when appropriate.
The sander is not designed for wet sanding.
Inhalation of sanding dust is dangerous to your health. Do not inhale them.
To extract the dust, connect the suction hose of a household vacuum cleaner to the exhaust
opening of the sander using the adaptor if necessary. Switch the vacuum on before you
operate the sander.
Wear a dust mask when using this power tool.
Do not apply any additional pressure to the machine while sanding as the weight of the
machine itself is sufficient.
Secure the work piece. Use clamps or a vice to hold the work piece, it is safer than using your
hand and it allows you to have both hands free to use the tool.
Always check that the finishing sander is switched off and unplugged from the mains before
carrying out any work on the machine.
