Rooftop-Mount Quick Disconnect

Completing the Installation
To complete the installation:
1.
Apply the gasket to the appropriate stud plate. See Figure 2.

From outside the vehicle, route the cables through the roof seal, roof, and then the appropriate stud
plate.
3.
Seal all drilled holes with RTV and snap the roof seal in place.
4.
From inside the vehicle, push the stud plate into position. The friction of the roof seal will hold the
plate up.
5.
Seal the cables to the roof seal with RTV and lower the housing over the studs.
6.
Install the 8-32 stop nuts. Tighten the stop nuts just until the roof seal starts to bulge.
Do not over-
tighten the nuts
.
7.
If you are not using the FPIU20 assembly, tighten the acorn nuts over the stop nuts.
Do not
overtighten the nuts.
