For proper light operation, the light assembly
control cables must be properly terminated. Using figure 3
as a guide, make the appropriate electrical connections.
Ensure that the lines are adequately fused as shown in
figure 3.

Connect the black lead to chassis ground.
4.
Connect the red wire to the +12VDC supply or
user-supplied flasher (see figure 3).
NOTE
Any of the light assembly functions can be acti-
vated by ap12VDC to the appropriate
control line. The heavy black lead (-) must be
connected to vehicle ground to perform a function
check.

MAINTENANCE.
1.
General.
WARNING
Crazing (cracking) of lenses will cause
reduced effectiveness of the light. Do not use
cleaning agents (which will cause crazing)
such as strong detergents, solvents, or
petroleum products. If crazing of lenses does
occur, reliability of light for emergency
signalling purposes may be reduced until
lenses are replaced.
Ordinary cleaning of the plastic lenses can be
accomplished by using mild soap and a soft rag. Should fine

scratches or a haze appear on a lens, they can ordinarily be
removed with a non-abrasive, high quality, one-step,
automotive paste cleaner/wax and a soft cloth.
2.
LED Mechanism Replacement.
a.
See figure 4. Remove and retain the four
screws which secure the lens. Carefully pull the lens
straight away from the grille light assembly.
b.
Remove and retain the three phillips screws
which secure the mechanism assembly to the housing.
c.
Disconnect the red and black leads at the
quick connect terminals.
d.
Connect the red and black wires to the new
mechanism assembly. Be sure to observe the correct
polarity.
