The outputs on the PBP-02 are all centre-negative. This means that the inner conductor of
the connector for the output cables is negative. The outer part of the connector that you can
see is positive. This information is also shown on each of the power supply's outputs and
your effects pedals should show similar information.
The two included short male-female adapter cables are so-called 'polarity changers'. They
can be used to change the polarity to centre-positive should the pedal you wish to connect
require it.
The polarity of a device is shown using the following diagrams:
Centre positive
Centre negative
Power adapter
The PBP-02's power adapter is designed specifically for this device and should not be used
for other purposes. Do not use any other power adapter other than the one included to
power the PBP-02.
LED indicators
The pedal power supply is equipped with LED indicators that can be turned on or off with a
switch that is found just above the input connector.
If the device is connected to a power socket, the outputs will deliver power even if the LED
indicators are switched off.
Sound interference
Because each user of this device will be connecting different effects pedals, it's not possible
to solve potential problems with sound interference in this manual. Interference is normally
caused by a ground loop. To determine which device is causing the disturbance, you can
change the order of the effects pedals, change the cables and try excluding certain pedals.
By doing this, you should be able to determine the cause of the interference.
The information in this user manual is subject to change at any time without notice.
