Operating the device
The Fazley PBP-02 is a practical pedal power supply designed to power (guitar)effects
pedals. By using a central power supply unit like this one, each individual guitar pedal does
not require a separate power adapter and mains socket.
Installation
This pedal power supply can be easily mounted on or underneath a pedal board. This can
be done using hook-and-loop fastener strips, tie-wraps or brackets that might have been
included with your pedal board.
When mounting this device to a pedal board, it is important to ensure that the status LED
indicators are visible at all times. It is also important that the device can be turned off and
unplugged at any time in case of emergencies.
Connecting the outputs
Install the pedal power supply in such a way that the included cables can be plugged in
without having any sharp (180-degree) bends, as this will likely cause the cables to break
over time. The cables can be bound together using cable binders as long as they aren't
pulled too tightly.
The connecting cables can be easily plugged into the appropriate connectors. Bear in mind
that the outputs on the right side of the device deliver a higher voltage. Connecting devices
that require 9V of power into an 18V socket could cause irreparable damage. Please note
that both types of connectors are the same.
Simultaneous use of all outputs at full capacity
In theory, if all outputs are being utilised at their full maximum capacity at the same time,
the power supply unit may not be able to supply the amount of power as indicated per
output.
In practice, however, it does not often happen that all the outputs on this type of power
supply are used simultaneously at full capacity and is therefore unlikely to cause a problem.
Voltage, polarity and power
Always check that you connect devices to the correct voltage on this power supply and also
the minimum amount of power needed for the device to work. A pedal that requires 500 mA
minimum cannot be connected to a 100 mA output because this will overload the output.
Connecting a pedal that uses 100 mA to a 500 mA output will not cause any problems
because the device will not be using the outputs maximum capacity.
