Cleaning the machine

!

Caution

Perform cleaning work only after the engine
has cooled down and with the engine stopped.

Caution

Do not guide the water jet directly into the dry
air filter intake opening (Fig. 46) and into the
opening for the crank handle. Cover the elec-
tric equipment against the direct water jet.

l

After wet cleaning run the engine warm to
evaporate all water residues and to avoid cor-
rosion.

Check the engine oil level

i

Note

Park the machine on level ground so that the en-
gine is in horizontal position.

Shut down the engine.

l

Open the rear rubber cover.

l

Pull the dipstick (Fig. 47) out, wipe it off with a
lint-free, clean cloth and reinsert it until it bot-
toms.

l

Pull the dipstick back out again.

l

The oil level should reach the upper mark on
the dipstick.

l

If the oil level is too low top up oil immediately.

For quality of oil refer to the table of fuels and
lubricants.

l

After a running time of approx. 1 min. shut own
the engine, wait until all engine oil has run
down and check the oil level.
