OPERATING THE WINCH
Moving the load
1. Attach a fixed hook to the hook of adequate strength.
2. Make sure that the bottom point of the control chain loop is between 500 mm and 100 mm from the
ground. If it is necessary, short the control chain.
3. There is a special link distinguished by color, chain shortening operations should be done at the
authorized service for this purpose.
4. Attach the load to the mobile hook.
5. Pre-tension the chain so that it is tight, ensure that it is not tangled or twisted.
6. Move the load in the appropriate direction using the control chain.
9.
MAINTENANCE
The winch should be protected from moisture. Do not expose to adverse weather conditions in particular,
precipitation. Do not use the winch in an explosive or corrosive environment. The winch should be kept
clean, free of any lubricants. You must lubricate all moving parts. Periodically check the con dition of the
winch for rust. Before each use, you should check a technical condition of the winch.
If you notice any damages, it is strictly forbidden to use a winch.
In this case, the winch should be returned to an authorized service. Do not repair it on your own, only
original spare parts should be used. This will ensure the proper and safe usage. At least once every three
months, the load and the steering chain must be lubricated. This will protect the chain against corrosion.
To do this, apply a small amount of liquid lubricant to the rag and rub it into chains. Increase the lubrication
frequency depending on the frequency of use of the winch.
Test the winch after every maintenance or the repair. For this purpose, under controlled conditions, make
one lowering and raising the unloaded hook, and then repeat the operation with the hook loaded with the
nominal load for the winch.
You should be particularly careful, especially when testing with a load. If there were not noticed any
alarming symptoms during the test then the winch can be used.
