The negative pole of the battery is typically marked with the following letters or symbol and colored
black:

NEG

N-
The instructions below are for negative grounded systems. If the vehicle is positively grounded (very
rare), follow the instructions below in reverse order.
1.
Connect the red positive clamp / eyelet to the positive pole of the battery (POS, P+).
2.
Connect the black negative clamp / eyelet to the negative pole of the battery (NEG, N-).
3.
Connect the charger plug to an AC power outlet. Do not face the battery when doing this.
4.
When disconnecting charger, disconnect in reverse sequence removing negative
clamp/eyelet first (or positive if system is positive grounded).
START CHARGING
Pressing the Mode button for 3 seconds turns the charger on.
Short press of the Mode button allows to select the type of battery.
1.
Check battery voltage and chemistry.
2.
After connecting the AC plug of the charger to the wall socket, press the Mode key to
select the charging mode according to the battery voltage and its chemistry.
3.
Make sure the charger cable clamps or eyelets are properly connected to the battery posts.
4.
The charger display shows the battery voltage and the battery charge level icon in %. The
charging process then starts.
5.
Once the charging process has finished, “FUL” appears on the charger display
6.
Disconnect the battery from the charger following the procedure described in the previous
paragraph of this manual.
DIAGNOSIS
Under error conditions the charger generates a sequence to help identify the causes of the error and
potential solutions.
ERROR
REASONS AND SOLUTIONS
This icon appears on the display when the polarity is reversed.
Check that the clamps or rings of the battery charger cable have been correctly
connected to the negative and positive poles of the battery. When the connection
is correct the error icon will disappear from the display.
This icon appears when the charger does not detect the battery. Check that the
battery charger cable clamps are firmly seated on the battery poles. The icon will
disappear from the display when the device detects the battery.
This icon appears on the display when the charger detects an AC output short.
The icon will disappear from the display when the short is resolved.
Overtemperature protection.
When the temperature drops, the icon automatically disappears from the display.
Non-rechargeable battery.

LED light
When the battery is charging, the battery percentage icon will flash slowly at 20%,
40%, 60%, or 80% depending on the battery charge level. When the battery is
almost fully charged, the 100% icon flashes slowly. When the battery is fully
charged, the 100% icon is displayed solid.
