This device has been designed to charge all types of 6V and 12V lead acid batteries, including WET,
GEL, MF, EFB, AMG and lithium batteries.
This device is suitable for charging batteries up to 30Ah and for maintaining all batteries.
During recharging, lead-acid batteries can generate explosive gases therefore read the
Safety
Instructions
carefully. Always observe the battery manufacturer's instructions for recharging.
Always follow the following Safety instructions to avoid serious personal injury and/or
damage to the device:
•
NEVER use the device outside the requirements listed in the "Technical Specifications"
paragraph of this manual.
•
NEVER expose the device to bad weather (rain, humidity, prolonged exposure to sunlight, etc.).
•
Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries. Do not charge frozen batteries.
•
WORKPLACE SAFETY:
o
NEVER use or store the device in environments containing potentially explosive
atmospheres or flammable materials. Risk of fire.
o
Do not smoke or cause sparks near batteries.
o
Do not use or store the device in damp or wet environments. Risk of electric shock.
o
While working with the device, prevent children or other personnel from approaching the
workstation.
o
Keep your face away from the battery during connection operations. The acid inside the
batteries is corrosive. If acid accidentally comes into contact with skin or eyes, rinse
immediately with water and contact a doctor.
o
Be careful not to drop metal tools on the battery posts, as they could cause sparks, short-
circuit the battery, overheat the tool and cause an explosion.
o
Carry out all operations in adequately ventilated and dry rooms.
•
Before each use, carefully check that the device is perfectly intact in all its parts and that there
are no exposed cables or worn components. If damaged or you notice an unusual odor or
excessive heat, do not use the device and contact your dealer.
•
Never try to open or tamper with the device. Risk of electric shock.
•
During use, do not cover the device in any way and always ensure proper ventilation.
•
Make sure the device is disconnected from the mains before connecting, or disconnecting, the
charging leads to the battery.
•
Never wrap the cables around the device or twist them.
Before using the device, carefully read the warnings and instructions contained in
this manual.
