VE SERIE SK07
Rinse with plenty of water and when finished, dry. During cleaning DO NOT USE metal
type or particularly abrasive cloths. Use of the latter could cause damage to the outer surface
of the porthole.
- External front panel cleaning
Check:
Monthly or every 50 cycles.
Use a soft cloth soaked in alcohol, taking care it does not penetrate the inner parts of the
autoclave. It is strictly forbidden to use detergents with a Trilene, benzene or turpentine base
or solvents of any kind.
- Porthole gasket cleaning
Check:
Daily or every 5 cycles.
Clean the gasket with a soft cloth dampened with water or white vinegar, to remove any
limescale. Rinse well if you have used vinegar.
This procedure must be carried out to remove impurities that can cause pressure loss in the
sterilisation chamber and possible gasket breakage.
- Chamber filter cleaning
Check:
Monthly or every 50 cycles.
- Remove the tray supports with trays from the chamber
- Turn the filter in the chamber and pull towards yourself to remove it.
- Place the chamber filter in water or vinegar, wait a few minutes and then with a small brush
carefully clean the filter area.
- Rinse the filter unit with plenty of water.
- To remove the filter, proceed with the operations in the opposite order.
- Re-position the filter on the back of the chamber.
If the cleaning operation is not satisfactory, call Technical Support.
- Porthole door adjustment
Check:
When necessary. Normally no earlier than six months from the porthole gasket change.
The autoclave closure system requires occasional adjustment, due to normal adjustment of
the mechanical parts and wear on the gasket.
Imperfect hold on the gasket could prevent correct execution of the sterilisation cycles and
therefore compromise the good outcome.
Always work with the machine off and cold.
Operation:
- Keep button 17 Fig. 4 pressed
- Turn porthole 19 Fig. 4 in an anti-clockwise direction for a quarter of a turn
- Release the button and continue rotating porthole 19 Fig. 4 until it locks
- Check the door closes regularly. If the handle is too difficult to close, turn slightly from the
opposite side while keeping button 17 Fig. 4 pressed.
- Run a test cycle to check adjustment was efficient.
This procedure usually should take place on the first slight leak or if the gasket has difficultly
holding. Before adjusting the porthole closure system, clean the porthole gaskset as indicated
above and repeat the sterilisation cycle.
- Bacterial or Bio X filter replacement
Check:
Quarterly or every 500 cycles (replacement is advised)
Operation:
- Open the door on the printer/CF Card compartment on the autoclave.
- Unscrew the filter (9 Fig. 1) by turning in an anti-clockwise direction.
- Screw the new filter in, in a clockwise direction, paying attention to completely screw it in.
