OPERATION
1.
Always engage the parking brakes when operating the
crane. If necessary, chock the wheels.
2.
Always lower the support legs when operating the crane.
Check the firmness of the groundunderneath.
3. Check for any obstacles in the operating area.
4.
Operate the levers with slow, smooth movements. Learn
how to use multiple functions at the same time in
order to get the crane to work softly and precisely.
5.
Start off using low revolutions on the engine to avoid jer
-
ky moves.
6. Once you have got used to the crane's movements, select
a suitable rev count to optimise operating efficiency
and movement control.
7.
If you are forced to work on sloping terrain, exercise ext
-
reme caution. Do not load the crane to its full lifting
torque.
8. When loading from the uphill side, remember that the
slewing might not be able to carry the load. This may
overload the pressure relief valves and cause the load
to drop, thus resulting in a tipping hazard.
9. When moving the combination from one area to another,
support the grapple on the trailer frame or load.
10. When driving from one area to another, keep the total
overhead clearance of the crane-trailer combination
in mind, such as at bridges or near power lines.
The support legs are not intended for
lifting loads.
Only use the support legs to provide
additional support for the vehicle.
The boom must never be run quickly out to its full
extension!
Always exercise extreme caution when working
near power lines.
Observe minimum safety distances.
WORKING IN EXCEPTIONAL
TEMPERATURES
The lowest recommended operating temperature for the
crane is -25ºC.
Note that, when working in low temperatures, the
hydraulic gaskets will wear faster, hoses will be more
susceptible to breakage and steel structures will become
more brittle.
1.
If you are working in the cold, we recommend lifting
lighter loads in order to avoid causing unnecessary
damage.
2.
When working in cold conditions, first allow the
oil to circulate freely through the valves for a few
minutes.
3.
Run all the crane movements slowly back and forth to
soften up the gaskets before apply full pressure.
4.
When working in exceptionally warm conditions, care
must be taken to prevent the hydraulic oil from over-
heating. An excessively high (>80ºC) oil temperature
will shorten its useful life and can damage gaskets.
