MAINTENANCE
• The crane must be regularly maintained to ensure
safe, problem-free operation.
• Always use the appropriate tools.
• Locate faults.
• Keep dismantled parts and the repair site well
protected.
• Use petrol to clean parts - never fuel oil.
• Leave valve adjustments and repairs to a service and
repair shop.
BOOM ASSEMBLY
• End play in the joints must be kept as small as pos-
sible. Do not overtighten.
• Coat the top and bottom surfaces of the extension
with lubricant.
• Sliding parts with too much wear must be replaced.
Sliding parts must be replaced before the boom sec-
tions begin to rub against each other.
• Any adjuster plates used with the sliding parts must
also be reinstalled in the same places.
BUSHINGS REPLACEMENT
• A suitable installation arbor must be used to install
bushings.
• Ensure that the lubrication eyelet is aligned with the
nipple.
• Fill any grease pockets in the bushing with vaseline.
PRESSURE MEASUREMENT
Adjustments are always made with a pressure gauge ins -
talled.
• The main pressure measurement is taken from the
measurement point installed on the control valve inlet
section.
• Pressure measurements must be taken in normal ope-
rating temperatures and at normal flow rates.
• The free circulation pressure is read on the gauge as
the oil flows through the valve.
• Use the "grapple close" movement when taking the
main pressure reading. Keep the handle fully depres-
sed while reading the pressure gauge.
