Front Ballast

Measure and record the distances at each location

Use the following to determine if front ballast is required:

Ballast Not Required

- If the first term is lower or equal

to the second term, it is not necessary to use ballast.

Ballast Required

- If the first term is higher than the

second term, use the following formula for calculating the
ballast Z:

Entering And Leaving The Operator’s Position

Entering The Operator’s Position

Move to the operator’s position, start the engine and
release the parking brake.

Leaving The Operator’s Position

Park the tractor / equipment on a flat level surface.

Place all controls in neutral, engage the park brake, stop
the engine and wait for all moving parts to stop. Leave the
operator’s position.

See your tractor’s operator’s manual for front ballast
information.
