You should defrost the freezer compartment two
or three times a year when the ice is about 4mm
thick. To defrost, follow these steps:
-Set the thermostat to “Colder” at least 12 hours
before defrosting.
– After this period has elapsed, switch off the
freezer compartment by removing the plug
from the main power supply.
– Remove all food from the freezer and wrap
them in paper and store them in a cold place
and leave the door open.
– When the defrosting is finished, the
compartment must be cleaned and wiped dry.
– Switch the appliance back on using the
thermostat set to “Colder” and, wait at least
one hour before replacing the foodstuffs.
– After a few hours the thermostat can be set
back to the original position.
WARNING:
Do not use mechanicals devices or other
artificial means to accelerate the defrosting
process, other than those recommended by the
manufacturer.
