Ring strategy
•
ringall: Ring all available extensions until a channel
answers. This is the default strategy. Note that only
extensions that were available at the time of the call
will be included in the ringing list. Extensions becoming
available after ringing has started will not start ringing.
•
hunt: Take turns ringing each available extension
•
memoryhunt: Ring first extension in the list, then ring
the first and second extension, then ring first, second
and third extensions in the list, and so forth.
•
-prim: These modes act as described above. However,
if the primary extension (the first entry in the list) is
occupied, the other extensions will not be rung. If the
primary is configured as Do not disturb, the call will not
ring any extensions. If the primary is configured as
unconditional call forward, then all the available
extensions will be included in the ringing strategy.
•
firstavailable: Rings only the first available extension
•
firstnotonphone: rings only the first extension which is
not offhook, ignoring call waiting settings.
Ring time
The duration for which extensions are rung for each iteration
of the ring stratgy, up to a maximum 60 seconds.
Extension list
The list of extensions, queues, groups or external numbers to
be included in the ring strategy. Extensions are added by
entering the extension number in the correct position in the
list. Destinations that are not extensions, including Follow me
for an extension, may be included by appending a # to the
number. External numbers included in this manner will result
in the appropriate outbound rule's use for external call
trunking.
