SAFETY NOTES
To maintain stability and satisfactory heating it should be used with metallic cookware that has a magnetic
base suitable for use with induction:
o
Wok cookers are suitable for woks between Ø325mm/13” and Ø400mm/16” and the shape must
conform closely to the ceramic dish of the cooker
o
Flat top induction zones require a minimum pan base diameter of 120 mm.
o
Cookware should not be placed in the tanks of fryers, steamers and noodle boilers, except for the use
of supplied baskets and ladles.
Never insert objects into the induction unit. Inside are highly dangerous voltages. Do not damage the
generator inductors, e.g. with pointed / sharp objects as this may lead to electric shock.
This appliance is only for commercial cooking and for indoor use. It is only to be used with induction capable
cookware. Any other use may result in unexpected hazards.
Do not place metal objects, e.g. kitchen utensils, cutlery, tools, jewellery etc, on the cooking surface as they
will quickly heat up if the appliance is turned on.
Beware that when using the induction unit, personal items such as rings, watches and similar objects could get
hot when in close proximity to the cooking zone.
Do not place aluminium foil on the cooking zone.
Do not use the ceramic glass surface as a work top.
Do not damage the cooking surface. It is not tolerant of being hit, struck or vibrated. If the cooking surface
shows visible signs of cracking, the appliance must be immediately disconnected from the mains supply.
Switch ‘Off’ the cooking zone after use. Do not rely on the Pan Detection Mode.
On completion of installation the installer must instruct the responsible person(s) of the correct operation and
maintenance of the appliance and leave these instructions on-site with the responsible person
Do not obstruct the air cooling inlet and outlet grilles on the underside and rear of the appliance. If filters are
fitted, clean these monthly and do not operate the appliance without filters or with wet filters.
Strip plastic coating and clean the appliance before use.
This appliance is only for professional use and shall only be operated by qualified persons who have who have
read the operating instructions

Children shall not play with the appliance.
o
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision
It is the kitchen supervisor’s responsibility to warn users of this appliance to wear suitable protective clothing.
During normal operation, parts of the appliance will become very hot by necessity. The user must take
suitable precautions to prevent accidental burns.
To ensure safe use of this appliance you must provide whatever information, instruction, training and
supervision is necessary to ensure the health and safety of all users as far as is reasonably practicable.
You must perform a risk assessment as part of managing your health and safety to and control any risks
identified by taking reasonable steps to prevent harm to users, the appliance and the environment.
In the event of a fault, the equipment must be turned off at the isolator and a competent person informed.
It is important, in the interest of safety and good performance to ensure that the appliance is regularly
maintained in accordance with the service checklist provided herein. Failure to do so can have a serious
impact on the appliances reliability and will invalidate any warranty or guarantee. You should ensure the
engineer provides a completed service record as evidence of having the appropriate work performed.
