Removal of Mineral Deposits
Mineral and lime deposits that may occur in areas with hard water may limit the performance
of your Steam Cleaner.
The best way to minimize mineral deposits is to use pure or demineralized water in your
Steam Cleaner. Moreover, the following cleaning procedure is recommended to be performed
at least once a month to remove any residues. This shall prolong the service life of your
Steam Cleaner and allow it to operate at its maximum potential. Unplug your Steam Cleaner
and wait 5 minutes for it to cool down. Remove all accessories, then open the lid of the water
reservoir and drain the water into the sink. Insert the tip of the cleaning needle into the mouth
of the Steam nozzle to remove the mineral deposits. This process may also be applied for
cleaning accessories such as mop heads. Use the measuring cup to prepare a mixture of
approx. 50 ml of distilled water and 50 ml of vinegar. Slowly pour the water-vinegar mixture
into the water reservoir, then close the lid of the water reservoir. Plug the appliance in, bring
the steam Control Knob to the HIGH position and spray the entire content of the Water
Reservoir into a sink or bathtub.
When the Water Reservoir is empty, switch off the appliance and refill the reservoir with 330
ml of distilled water. Bring the Steam Control Knob back to the HIGH position and repeat the
process. If you used a water-vinegar solution, you may need to repeat this process until the
vinegar smell is removed.
Replace the lid of the Water Reservoir, unplug the appliance and place your Steam Cleaner
to its regular storage area.
