Please read these precautions carefully to ensure you are using your Fairphone Headphones safely.
Audio properties and hearing precautions
Do not use your Fairphone Headphones at high volumes for prolonged periods. To prevent any damage to your hearing, use at a moderate
volume level at all times.
Charging and Battery
Charge your Fairphone Headphones with a USB type C cable and USB compatible charger. Only charge your Fairphone Headphones using a cable or
charger that follows the IEC/EN 62684 standard, like the one you can find on www.fairphone.com/accessories-fairbudsxl. Using damaged cables or char-
gers, or charging when moisture is present, can cause electric shock. The use of incompatible accessories or spare parts may have serious consequences
for your Fairphone Headphones.
Your battery is a lithium-ion battery. Please do not puncture or damage the battery as it has a risk of explosion. Do not use this battery at high tempera-
tures or expose it to excessive heat as sustained exposure to high (or low) temperatures may affect the Fairphone Headphones operations. Keep your
Fairphone Headphones in a well-ventilated area when using or charging it. Use your device within the temperature range of -10°C to +55°C. Do not charge
the device when the environment temperature is above +40C.
If you need to replace your battery, ensure that it is an original Fairphone Headphone. Fairphone only supports and takes responsibility
for batteries conforming with the model number HBAT-1ZW, like the one you can find on https://shop.fairphone.com/en/spare-parts. Do not use any

Maintenance, care and storage
In order to keep your Fairphone Headphones clean, you can use a cloth to wipe away dust and oil. Don’t use aerosol sprays, solvents, or abrasives. Store
your Fairphone Headphones in the protective pouch that is provided. Do not store other items in the case provided. Ensure you store in a clean, dry place.
Avoid storing them in direct sunlight or in extreme heat or cold.
Skin Irritations
To avoid skin irritation and damage to your Fairphone Headphones, avoid usage after exposure to liquids such as soap, shampoo, makeup, sunscreen,
lotions, and any other irritants which can potentially cause skin irritation. If you experience redness, swelling, itchiness, or any other irritation, we recom-
mend that you stop using your Fairphone Headphones and that you may want to consult your physician immediately and please contact us at www.
fairphone.com/support.
Situational Safety
Be alert when you are using your Fairphone Headphones as they can limit auditory cues which are important for your health and safety. Ensure usage of
your Fairphone Headphones does not compromise your safety e.g. you cannot hear emergency alarms, calls for help etc. Ensure that you are aware of
