DESCRIPTION
●
Surf Pro 6
, is a programmable selective amplifier with
2 inputs, UHF and 6 tuneable UHF filters of configurable
width from 1 to 6 channels.
●
It has 3 filter settings to distribute the UHF signals
between the 2 inputs.
●
It has an VHF input (BI, BIII or DAB), FM input and an
auxiliary input. Each UHF input allows feeding
preamplifiers to 12 or 24V.
■
INSTALLATION AND START-UP
●
Connect the equipment ground to the Earth of the antenna
installation.
●
Connect the cables of the antennas in the inputs and
close the unused inputs with loads of 75
Ω
. Don’t insert
signal through the auxiliary input during the equipment
configuration except in the case of work with a
BOOK Extend extension module (REF. 35565 or 35568).
●
Connect a load of 75
Ω
in the output.
●
Connect the unit to the mains.
●
For a better adjustment of output levels is recommended to
have the equipment running at least 5 minutes.
■
PROGRAMMING
●
Once the equipment is connected to the mains, after a
few seconds it goes into Stand By status. A Flash of
the LED every 5 seconds indicates proper operation.
●
Connect the Control Unit UCF 300 (REF. 85115) in the
programming connector (6). The display shows the start
screen with the name of the equipment.
See diagram UCF 300 p. 3.

●
Press the key to access to the mode of multichannel
programming selecting the second channel that defines
the width of the filter.
●
Once the filter programming is finished press twice
the button to proceed to the automatic adjustment of
the filter level.
●
After the level regulation if we enter again in the "UHF
FILTER ADJUST" it is possible to regulate manually
the level of each filter.

Modify the VHF gain to a value between 0 and 25 if you want
to make an automatic adjustment of the VHF band.
●
After the adjustment of the UHF filters select the FM band
and adjust the output level to the same level as the UHF
channels.
●
Press to validate and return to the main menu.
1.4. Output level adjustment "OUTPUT LEVEL"
●
This function performs an automatic adjustment of the levels
of UHF and VHF.
●
With the keys
❏
▲
and
❏
▼
select the desired output level
taking into account the maximum output level and the
reduction by the total number of channels in UHF, BIII, BI,
plus the AUX input (see Table 2).
●
Press the key the gain of each filter will be automatically
adjusted depending on the selected output level.
●
Once the regulation of the filters is finished the UCF will
show a screen with the number of the filters that has not
been possible to adjust, indicating if the input level is too
high "H" or too low "L".
●
Press to confirm the action and return to the main
menu.
●
For a better adjustment of output levels it is recommended
to have the equipment working at least 5 minutes.
1.5. Preamps "REMOTE POWER" power
●
Press the button to enter the function.
●
Select the voltage for preamplifiers in UHF input: 0V, 12V or
24V.
●
The selected voltage is the same for both inputs UHF and
can enable or disable the tension on any of the inputs.
●
Pressing again for select the UHF1 or UHF2 input.
●
Press the keys

to activate or not the DC pass
of the selected input.
A change of this filter configuration resets the programming of
channels in the UHF filters.
Messages in the display: “Adj” message and a filter number are
displayed when the selected channels are adjacent to the channels
programmeded in the indicated filter that is assigned to the same
UHF input.
Multichannel filters must be programmed with the minimum possible
width. The channels in the same multi-channel filter channels must
have a similar entry level.
When a filter has several channels, the output level will be less than
the selected. The level can be adjusted manually from the adjustment
of the UHF filters.
