Measuring diodes
Place the probes on the terminals of
the diode to be tested. A weak current
is then applied to the diode.
A diode in good condition will give a
low voltage reading in one direction
and a high reading in the other.
A short circuited diode will give low
readings in both directions.
A diode in open circuit will give high
readings in both directions.
(Test voltage 3V DC max, test current
1.6mA max).
