There are several basic tasks you must complete to get the 1600/3600/3900 
platform installed and set up.

The 1600/3600/3900 platform comes with the hardware that you need for 
installation. However, you must also provide standard peripheral hardware, 
such as a serial terminal, if you want to administer the 1600/3600/3900 
platform directly.

Components provided with the 1600/3600/3900 platform

When you unpack the 1600/3600/3900 platform, you should make sure that 
the following components are included:

• One power cable (black)

• One failover cable (blue)

• One console cable (beige)

• Rack-mounting hardware (front-mounting kit and rail-mounting kit)
