2. Check that the air filter is clean.
3. Fill engine with oil and fuel as indicated below.
4. Fill pump with oil as indicated below.
FUELING AND LUBRICATION
WARNING
Never smoke whilst refueling and keep fuel away
from all sources of fire or spark. Avoid inhaling the
petrol fumes and always refuel in outside and well
ventilated areas.
WARNING
The engine is delivered without oil and fuel.
Τhis is a 4-stroke engine meaning gasoline should be
used in fuel tank and the engine case should be filled
with 4-stroke engine oil.
Fuel specifications: Unleaded gasoline
Oil specifications: Only use oil that meet the require
-
ments of API service class SF or higher and according
to relative table (Fig. 12).
Always use clean container for storing fuel and do
not use fuel stored for more than a month.
Use a funnel in order to avoid spilling fuel or oil. Do
not overfill.
To fill the engine with fuel:
1. Remove the fuel tank cap.
WARNING
Carefully open the tank top as pressure could
have formed inside.
2. Add fuel to the fuel upper level (Fig. 13.2).
Leave a minimum 5 mm of space between the
top of the fuel and the inside edge of the tank
to allow for expansion.
3.
Reposition the fuel tank cap and tighten appro-
priately.
To fill the engine with oil:
1. Remove the oil filler cap (Fig. 14.1). The bottom
part of it is the oil level indicator (oil dipstick).
2. Add enough oil to bring the oil level between
the upper (Fig. 14.3) and lower (Fig. 14.4) limit
on the oil dipstick. Measuring should be made
with the dipstick positioned, but not screwed,
in the filler neck.
3.
Reposition the oil cap and tighten appropriate-
ly.
WARNING
Wipe off any spilled fuel and oil before starting the
engine.
To fill the pump with oil:
1. Remove the shipping plug (Fig. 6.1).
2. Add enough oil to bring the oil level between
the upper (Fig. 6.3) and lower (Fig. 6.4) limit on
the oil level gauge.
3. Position the new oil plug (Fig. 6.2) and tighten
appropiately.
STARTING THE UNIT
WARNING
Before starting the engine, make sure both the ma
-
chine and you are on stable ground.
WARNING
Dry running for more than 2 minutes can lead to
damage of the high-pressure pump. If the appliance
does not build up pressure within 2 minutes, switch
the appliance off and contact your nearby dealer.
To start the engine:
1. Assemble the gun and lance together (Fig. 7).
2. Assemble the high pressure hose (Fig. 8.2) on
the water outlet port (Fig. 8.1).
3. Assemble the gun and lance to the free end of
the hose.
4. Mount the water supply hose (Fig. 9.2) on the
water inlet port (Fig. 9.1) of the pump, using ap
-
propriate connectors and filter.
WARNING
Before connecting the water supply hose to the
water inlet, inspect the water inlet screen (Fig. 9.3).
Clean the screen if it contains debris and replace
if damaged. Also, make sure that the hose you are
about to connect is clean of any debris. Use only cold
water (less than 40 ˚C) of a flow rate at least 19 L/m
and no less than 1,3 bar of pressure.
5. Open the water supply.
6. Move the fuel valve lever (Fig. 15.1) to the “ON”
position.
7. Move the choke lever (Fig. 16.1) to the “CHOKE”
position.
NOTE
This step applies only to cold starting of the en-
gine. When the engine is already warm or the
environment temperature is high, the choke
lever should be at "RUN" position at all times.
8. Move the ON / OFF switch to the “ON” position
(Fig. 17.1).
9. Grip firmly the handle of the machine with your
left hand and the starter grip (Fig. 18.2) of the
engine with your right hand. Pull the starter
grip until you feel resistance to engage the
engine and then pull firmly to start the engine.
WARNING
To avoid breaking the starter rope (Fig. 18.1),
do not pull the whole length of it or let it slide
along the edge of the cable guide hole. Release
the starter gradually, to avoid letting it fly back
uncontrollably.
10. As the engine warms up, gradually move the
choke lever to the "RUN" position, if the engine
was cold started.
NOTE
For maximum performance and reliability, allow the
engine to warm up before operating at full load, run
-
ning it for two to three minutes at idle speed.
OPERATING THE UNIT
WARNING
Keep a distance of at least 30 cm between the water
jet and any sensitive objectes or painted surfaces to
avoid damage.
WARNING
Strictly set the engine according to the regulated
power on the owner’s manual. Do not overload,
overrun or run the engine with low load and at low
speed.
NOZZLES
The pressure washer comes with five spray nozzles.
Each nozzle is color coded and delivers a specific
spray pattern and pressure for a particular cleaning
job:
f
Red - 0˚: This nozzle delivers a pinpoint stream
of pressurized water and is extremely powerful.
It covers only a small area of cleaning. This noz
