Prior to use
-> Manual:
Do you own the ladder and
someone else uses it? Provide the
user with the manual.
-> Completeness and functionality: Just
unpacked the ladder? Check that all parts
available and the unit is working.
-> Risk analysis: Perform it prior to use.
Important: The regulations of the country
in which the ladder is used must be
observed.
->
Cleaning:
Remove any dirt, such as
damp paint, soil or even snow, before use.
-> Health: Climb the ladder only if you
are fit to do so! Disease, consumption
of various medicines, as well as alcohol
and drugs, can affect your safety during
use.
-> Maintenance and control: On every
workday, check the ladder as to its func-
tionality as well as possible damage. Do
not use damaged ladders!
-> Trade: Is the ladder used commercially?
Then it must be checked regularly.
-> Suitability: Depending on the type of
work to be performed, you must check
whether the ladder is suitable for this
purpose.
-> Temperature: The ladder can be
stored at an ambient temperature of
minus 20 to plus 60 degrees centigrade.
Assembly
-> Installation and assembly: Check
whether all the elements to be interlocked
are also properly locked. The ladder must
be placed on its feet, not on the rungs.
If the ladder was supplied with a stabilising
rail to be assembled due to its length, the
ladder may only be placed on this rail.
-> The angle: angle of inclination = 75
degrees towards the ground with horizontally
positioned rungs.
-> Stability: The ladder must be positioned
on a flat,
horizontal and secure surface, not tilted sideways!
Placing it on a slippery surface or even a non-
secure positioning base are No-Go’s. The
corresponding surface must be cleaned or the
ladder must be secured against slipping.
-> The wall surface: the ladder must be leaned
against a solid, level surface and secured as far
as possible by tying. Important: Do not use the
rungs, but the side bars!
-> Position: Do not move it into a new
position from above!
->
Environment:
Ensure that passers-by,
cars or objects do not impact the ladder.
-> Electricity: Ensure that electrical current,
e.g. in the form of open circuits, does not
obstruct you.
On the ladder
-> Maximum load: 150 kg
-> Stability: All rung segments must be
locked.
-> Top rungs: Do not stand on the top three
rungs
Do not proceed as follows:
You want to enjoy your ladder for a long time.
Therefore, you must¬ protect the telescopic bars
and the rung segments from dirt and damage.
And yourself as well. Therefore:
-> DO NOT use the compacted ladder as a
footstool or a sitting stool!
-> DO NOT use it in a suspended condition
-> DO NOT extend or use it, if
it is standing upside down
-> it is NOT in a horizontal position and
neither use it as a bridge. In an emergency case
You can use it as a stretcher, however
only with a maximum length of 2 metres.
-> DO NOT use it in a dirty environment or for
work involving dirt and dust (e.g. masonry or
painting)
-> DO NOT use it in water-filled shafts
-> DO NOT damage it with impacts or similar
-> DO NOT shift it too far to the side during work.
Tip: During work, the user's waistline must
always be positioned
