Communication and Control
There is a 7 character limit for full file names. It is
advised that you use numeric titles (e.g., 1.eml, 24.eml).
Numeric titles reduce the characters of the file name, and
assist in keeping the alert files organized. However,
alphabetical titles are permitted.

= Default Name: combination of model-name and last 3 pairs of
MAC address (e.g., IPL-M-PDP-ES 00-02-3D)

= Connection’s security level: 00 = anonymous; 11 = user;
12 = Administrator

= The number of seconds before timeout: (min = 1; max = 65535;
default = 30 = 300 seconds). If no data is received during the
timeout period, the Ethernet connection is closed. Each step =
10 seconds. The response is returned with leading zeros.
Applicable to Ethernet only.

= Number (as optional parameter) inserted into an email message
if .eml file has an embedded ESC CR command with no params.

The copyright message is displayed upon connecting to IP
Link product via TCP/IP or Telnet. Mxx is the model and
Vx.xx is the firmware version number. The current date and
time are displayed. This is followed by a Password prompt.
Password information
The
Password: prompt requires a password (administrator
level or user level) followed by a carriage return. The prompt
is repeated if the correct password is not entered.
If the correct password is entered, the unit responds with
Login Administrator
or
Login User
, depending on
password entered. If passwords are the same for both
administrator and user, the unit defaults to administrator
privileges.
Error responses
When the IPL T S interface receives a valid command, it
executes the command and sends a response to the host device.
If the unit is unable to execute the command because the

asterisks (****). If no password exists, it appears empty.

= Name of email file to be sent. The first line of file is the subject;
the rest is the body of the email.
Email files must have the file extension .eml.
