TCP/IP Panel
The TCP/IP panel connects PCS to a specific device through Ethernet.

To connect to an online device or re-establish a connection via the LAN port:
1. Click the TCP/IP tab (see figure 17,

).
2. In the IP Address/Hostname field (

), enter the IP address of the desired device.
• If connecting via the LAN Etheret port:
NOTE: If the IP address has not been changed, it is
192.168.254.254
.
• If connecting via the front panel USB mini-B port:
NOTE: The IP address is 203.0.113.22 . This IP address cannot be changed.
3. In the Password field (

), enter the device password.
NOTES:
•
The factory configured passwords for all accounts on this device have been
set to the device serial number. In the event of a complete system reset, the
passwords convert to the default, which is
extron for the Admin and User
(see Roles and Permissions Panel on page 45 to change a password).
• Select the Show Characters checkbox (

) to display the password
characters.
4. In the Port field (

), enter port 4523 .
NOTE:
If the Telnet port number is not known, leave this field blank. PCS will scan
for the port.
5. Click the Connect button (

). A new device tab opens.
