Instructions for unloading a bearing
BEARING UNLOADING
This tool set is for the precise, quick and professional removal and replacement of wheel bearings.
The design can prevent damage to the new wheel bearing, because the press pieces enable
safe and accurate centering and alignment when changing wheel bearings.
1) Select an Adaptor Ring
(403~405) that fits against
the wheel bearing housing.
2) If there is not enough space to fit
a Adaptor Ring the bearing can
be unloaded without it.
3) Combine the Retainer Adaptor
(101) with the Bearing Cover
(401).
4) Combine the assembly from
step 3 with the selected
Adaptor Ring as shown (where
applicable).
5 ) Measure the inner diameter
of the Bearing to select the
Centering Ring (234~245).
6) Measure the outer diameter of the
Bearing to select the Presure Ring
(360~385).
7) Combine the Pressure Ring, the
Centering Ring and Spindle
adaptor (102).
8) Combine the assembly from step
7 with the Pull Spindle (502).
9) Mount the two assemblies on the
wheel bearing housing as shown
attaching the Clamping Nut
(501) on to the end of the
spindle.
10) Unload the bearing into the
housing by tightening the
assembly using a wrench,
socket and ratchet as shown.
