SunSDR2 DX User Manual

ExpertSDR2 SOFTWARE DESCRIPTION

that RX sensitivity is higher, but RX noise level is higher when you use ATT -20 dB,  it  means
that RX sensitivity is worse. It is done in the hardware.

 - enable/disable the wide bandscope in the same Nyquist zone as the RX1, from 0 to 80

MHz or from 80 to 160 MHz (BS). 

When you use the bandscope, Band Pass Filters are still active, to use the WideRX filter (0-65

MHz or 95-155 MHz) set  the  Use  wide  RX  f ilt er checkbox or  Aut o  enable  checkbox  (it  will

turn the Wide RX filter automatically) in the Options > Device menu.

The  bandscope  window  can  be  either  adjusted  inside  the  ExpertSDR2  window  or  can  be

displayed  as  the  separate  window  on  the  second  monitor.  Navigation  and  settings  of  the

bandscope are similar to the panorama settings of the main receiver.

  - 

Ant enna  swit ch  menu.  This  menu  allows  you  to  lock  the  required

HF/VHF antenna input only f or  RX. When the certain HF/VHF antenna input is locked for RX

you cannot select it for TX.

For more details on the

 operation.

 - 

RX  ANT  button  enables  receiving  on  the  selected  antenna  input,

which is selected in the drop-down menu. You cannot select the antenna input as RX  ONLY if

it’s selected for TX.

  -  enable/disable  the  X8  connector  in  the  ExtCTRL,  which  is  locked  for  control  of  an

external power amplifier (PA).

 - enable/disable sound output from the PC's sound card (SC). There is a constant sound

output via the transceiver's front panel, sound output is duplicated in the PC's sound card.

 - enable/disable button of the frequency memory panel (MEM).
