Safety
• The speaker should not be taken apart or modified. Certain unshielded components inside
the casing carry dangerous voltages. Contact with these can lead to fire or electric shock.
• Do not cover the speaker. Adequate ventilation with a distance of at least 5 cm between
the speaker and surrounding objects is necessary to prevent the speaker from overheating.
• The speaker must only be connected to a 110–240 V, 50/60 Hz wall socket.
• Make sure that the wall socket to which the mains lead is connected is easily accessible,
since this is the only way to completely disconnect the speaker from the mains supply.
• Place the speaker on a stable, flat surface.
• Do not place the speaker where it could fall into water or other liquid. Do not place any
objects containing liquid , such as vases or drinks onto the speaker.
• Do not place the speaker near naked flames such as fireplaces, wood stoves and lit candles.
• Place the speaker in an area where there is no risk of anyone tripping over its mains lead.
• Never subject the speaker to high temperatures e.g. prolonged sunlight exposure, dust, heavy
vibrations, impacts, damp or moisture.
• Do not abuse the mains lead. Never unplug the product by pulling on its mains lead. Always
grip the plug itself. Make sure that the mains lead does not come into contact with heat,
sharp edges or is any way crushed.
• Disconnect the plug from the wall socket during thunderstorms or if the speaker is not to be
used for a long time.
• The standby switch on the speaker does not completely disconnect it from the mains.
To completely disconnect the speaker from the mains, the plug must be removed from the
wall socket.
• Protect your hearing. Listening on high volume for prolonged periods can lead to permanent
hearing loss.
• Do not use the speaker if it or the mains lead is damaged in any way.
• Only use accessories that are approved by the manufacturer or retailer.
• The speaker must only be repaired by qualified service technicians.
• The battery must not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
Things to consider:
• Other wireless equipment using the same frequency band can reduce the transmission range.
• The range of all wireless equipment depends on the type of obstacles located between
the transmitter and the receiver (e.g. a concrete wall will interfere with the signal more than
a plasterboard wall).
