Gently turn the cleaning tip one full turn.

Continue to turn as you withdraw the cleaning tip.

Perform steps 3 to 5 again, but this time with a dry cleaning tip (2.5 mm tip
provided by EXFO).

Note:

Make sure that you do not touch the soft end of the cleaning tip, and
verify the cleanliness of the cotton tip.

Throw out the cleaning tips after one use.
